Wooden American Flag

american flag made from 100 year old reclaimed lath. this lath once held up plaster in a Baltimore city rowhouse. the back side of the lath that was not exposed to the plaster aged to an orange-red, and the front side of the lath turned white from its exposure to the plaster.

The sides show the lath markings as well as the black oxidation marks from the old steel nails that once held the lath in place. This top was made from 120 year old floor joists. The one pictured on the edge was most likely a second floor joist, as evidenced by the the lath markings. This lath was used to hold the plaster to the first floor ceiling.

Outdoor planter with lower shelf, this can also be modified with a top and inside liner and be used for an outdoor cooler with the lower shelf housing the extra beverages. This is made from reclaimed cedar.

Custom built for a 5-star restaurant. This mobile trash receptacle houses three trash cans, When cans need to be changed out, it is simply rolled away from the customers and changed off site then returned. This allows the restaurant to maintain eco-friendly practice and not have to change out the trash in front of the customers.

Re-purposed outdoor mobile bar. Made from a 100 year-old architectural filing cabinet. The front and sides were trimmed in reclaimed bead-board and two interchangeable reclaimed wood shelves were made for the interior.

Custom bookshelf built from 120 year-old reclaimed floor boards. The rough outside of the bookshelf is the underside of the floor boards. The lighter markings are where the floor boards sat on the floor joists. The inner painted part of the bookshelf would have been the top of the floor board that received the heavy use. Individual adjustable picture frame shelves were made for the interior. All of the molding for this unit was hand made from reclaimed floor boards.

The molding from the bookshelf was made from the floor boards, here you see the groove on the tongue and groove part of the floor board. This is a side view of the top molding on the shelf. The tongue part of the floor board was used in the lower base molding area.

Chest of Drawers
Chest of Drawers

1930s chest of drawers that was completely remade to function as new but to retain its original character. The frame and openings of the chest were all re-squared. The top was removed and refinished. the sides were sanded and distressed painted, and all drawers were dissembled with new boxes made to allow for modern guide rails. The original fronts of the drawers were reused so as not to alter its original look.
